Upgrades to nice rooms or suites, late check-out, lounge access, etc. are just a few elements. In almost all cases, status is connected to a number of stays\/nights you had with this hotel chain. Accor has introduced a new way how to become gold by becoming an Accor shareholder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who is Accor?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/sovrn.co\/wn9uywq\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow sponsored noopener\">Accor Group<\/a> is a leading French hotel group that brings together more than 5\u2019100 (1\u2019200 more to come) in 110 countries. Accor offers a broad portfolio of 51 brands ranging from luxury hotels (Fairmont, Rixos, Sofitel) to more economical ones (Ibis, Mercure, Novotel).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Compared to other hotel groups, Accor has a significant footprint in some countries. For example, in Morocco, they operate 42 properties, in Myanmar (Burma) 11 properties in several parts of the country, while there are only one Sheraton and three Hilton hotels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another reason why Accor? Check the previous blog post about the details of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hotelgyms.com\/blog\/the-healthy-lifestyle-how-people-plan-their-travel\">How People plan their Travel<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Accor Live Limitless Loyalty Program<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The loyalty program from the Accor group is called <a href=\"https:\/\/redirect.viglink.com\/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fall.accor.com%2Floyalty-program%2Fcards-status-benefits%2Findex.en.shtml&amp;opt=true&amp;key=b91c61a9325fb4c9bbd0c5a371e26d1a&amp;prodOvrd=WRA&amp;cuid=blog-accor-gold&amp;opt=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow sponsored noopener\">Accor Live Limitless (ALL)<\/a>. As with most other programs, status upgrades are awarded according to the number of nights spent or the number of points earned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sta-data.hotelgyms.com\/blog\/image_210308-01_accor-gold-status-1024x481.jpg\" alt=\"Accor Status Levels\" class=\"wp-image-3453\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Early Check-in<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Late check-out<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Upgrade to a next room category subject to availability<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, 30 nights is a number to reach, and apparently, it seems also to be very hard to impossible to get a status match from another program. However, let us focus on the alternative option by becoming a shareholder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Accor Shareholder Program<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Of course, since the COVID-19 pandemic share prices of hotel groups are at least a third lower than the pre-COVID-19 value. However, you probably have to see it as a medium to long-term investment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Disclaimer, this is not financial advice nor a recommendation for buying shares. I plan to keep them for some time, and I hope to sell them with a benefit (no date intended, expected).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sta-data.hotelgyms.com\/blog\/image_210308-02_accor-gold-status.jpg\" alt=\"Accor Stock Price 2020-21\" class=\"wp-image-3454\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As Accor Group is a French company, the shares are traded in EURO, such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/AC.PA?p=AC.PA&amp;.tsrc=fin-srch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Paris stock exchange<\/a>. After that, you can register with the <a href=\"https:\/\/redirect.viglink.com\/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fgroup.accor.com%2Fen%2Fcontact-us%2FShareholder-Club-application-form&amp;key=b91c61a9325fb4c9bbd0c5a371e26d1a&amp;prodOvrd=WRA&amp;cuid=blog-accor-gold&amp;opt=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow sponsored noopener\">Shareholders Club<\/a>. You have to select \u201cI hold at least 50 Accor bearer shares\u201d and fill in your details. I attached the confirmation from my stock exchange to the online form and in the follow-up e-mail I included my ALL member ID to avoid a new profile is getting created.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My status was changed to gold within weeks&#8217; time until 31 December of the following year (you can get almost up to 24 months). After this, there would be a requirement to re-qualify. Assuming stock price would remain the same, or increase, this is probably a cost effective way to get to Accor Gold Status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Update 2024: The <a href=\"https:\/\/help.accor.com\/s\/article\/what-is-the-ibis-business-card\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">ALL Plus ibis card<\/a>, formerly known as the ibis BUSINESS card, was another alternative to get to Accor Gold status. However, for \u20ac99 per year, you receive now only 10 free status nights, getting you Silver Status an earning towards Accor Gold status.
